Case Study - Krrish Packaging website

Krrish Packaging was looking for a website to showcase their products to various bottling and juice packaging companies throughout the state of Bihar, Orissa and other states. To any outsider it may seem not much, but supplier of packaging materials is quite an extensive manufacturing load. To produce at high quantity and maintain deliverability requires precision manufacturing and adherence to dimensional limits and tolerances.

Krrish packaging: Manufacturing of Packaging caps and Closures

The smallest element of any packaging but undoubtedly the most important is the Closure. The security of the entirety of the content is dependent on the cap, fastener and the adhesive applied to complete the packaging. It should be durable enough to withstand exertions during the route from manufacturer to supplier and then to be easily opened when it reaches the customer. Apart from its functionality, a closure must also be aesthetically pleasing to enhance the appearance of packaging. There can be many different types of defects when it comes to closures such as their fit on the cap, seal integrity, dirt, mechanical defects, etc.

Maintaining quality in Critical Closures

T dimension : Inner diameter including the thread

E dimension : Inner diameter excluding the thread
H dimension : vertical distance between inside top and bottom

Thermosetting resins for the plastic caps do not reveal threads on the exterior side of the caps, though they can sometimes slow the cap due to the thermosetting shrinkage due to colder climates. When selecting materials for the caps, factors such as odour and flavour of the product are paramount. In such cases, thermoplastics are preferable over thermosetting plastics.
